That first bold mark made to a blank canvas gives me a tremendous sense of relief.  I had to ask myself why.  I think we all struggle at some point in our lives to find our place.   That first bold mark to me is a statement that "I belong here!"   I have a place in this world and it is RIGHT HERE.   This entire piece of art, with its bright, courageous colors, reminds me that there is nothing but right now.  I belong right here at this perfect place and time.  At this very moment, this is where I belong.
